Pumpkins, apples and hay rides--fall is here!

From fall decorations to pumpkins and apple cider, autumn is favorite season for many! One of fall’s best farm-to-table foods is the wide variety of apples available right here in the Northwest. Whether you want to pick a basket full of sweet apples for making applesauce for the winter, find the perfect pumpkin, or shop in the farm gift store, now is the time to explore all that fall has to offer.

Take a visit to one of these favorites:

Established in 1869, this farm in Tualatin has been family owned and operated for seven generations. They have fresh produce and family fun all year long, featuring four different festivals. They have fresh homemade apple cider and pumpkin donuts for sale right in their country store that won’t disappoint. Activities include: hay rides, barrel wagon rides, a slide, hay mazes, farm animals to visit, and a giant bouncy pillow. On weekends they also have a five acre corn maze, pony rides, and pedal carts.

Enjoy walking through a pictured corn maze, bouncing through mud in the famous cow trains, and finding the perfect pumpkin in the patch at this family farm in Woodburn. Other activities include: duck races, spider web, swings, pumpkin cannon, hay rides, and more. Fun for the whole family! Only 45 minutes from Portland. Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays September 25th-October 31st.

A family owned farm for over 25 years, Oregon Heritage Farms offers 10 varieties of apples (Gravenstein, Honey Crisp, Jonagold Red and Granny Smith just to name a few). You will find pumpkins, farm animals, hay mazes, and an inflatable apple just for kids who love to jump! Delicious apple cider and fall crafts and foods are available at the farm store.
